Howdy!
On September 25th, we had our very first in-person social (with masks and 6 ft apart of course). We had the pleasure of our fantastic socials chair, Damilola Agunbiade, be able to teach us how to make origami maple leaves and butterflies! Even though they look fairly simple, folding paper is a technique that apparently I do not have. A 10 minute video took us an hour to complete. Even though we might not be origami experts, we all had a very fun time getting to know each other and having a beautiful sunset view while on Simpson Drill Field. I absolutely cannot wait for our next social (October 2nd) and can't wait to see you all tonight at our next general body meeting! Until Next Time, Danielle

Howdy Everyone!
This is my first official post of the school year and I am just so excited for this upcoming school year. Even though all our events have to occur via Zoom or a safe 6 ft. apart, we are excited that you chose to be apart of this amazing organization and hope you stick with us for the rest of your time here at A&M! For our meeting today, we had our A&M Kaplan Ambassador come speak with us about the different courses they offered and how to get the best results with studying their material. Dr. Kraft then discussed with us her past and why she is our sponsor. She, as long with your fellow Mappers, then began giving tips to people with how they can succeed in their classes and life in general. MAPS is geared towards helping students reach their goal in medicine, but we also want our members to know we care about them and want them to feel welcome with us! We hope to see you at our next event: September 18- Netflix Watch Party 6-8pm! From a safe distance, Danielle |
